Free-run birds are provided with enough space within a barn to move around to access feed and water freely and socialize. Whereas the free-range birds have access to indoor and outdoor space.
Our Organic Chicken and Free Range & Raised Without Antibiotics Turkey lines are raised in free-range enviornments.
Not all of our products are animal welfare certified, but many of our lines are. Our Organic Chicken, Raised Without Antibiotics Chicken and Free Range and Raised Without Antibiotics Turkey are all animal welfare certified. Also, our Meal Starters are all animal welfare certified.
Our animal-welfare-certified products will have the Global Animal Partnership (GAP) logo on the label. The logo also indicates what step those birds were raised in and you can always check out the specific requirements to achieve each step at the Global Animal Partnership website.
No! Giving chickens and turkeys hormones has been banned in Canada since 1962.
Our Organic and Raised Without Antibiotics chickens are fed a 100% vegetarian diet that contain a healthy balance of grains, vitamins and minerals for optimal nutrition.
Yes! We’re proud to have all of our chicken and turkey products certified halal by the BC Muslim Association.
